After five years of cycling the comprehensive ‘Bicycle Landscape’ project is finally finished with the launch of the book (Sept. 2017). More than 500 images, cycling statistics, personal experiences and a collection of essays make this a unique publication and an inspiring look at our man-made country from a different perspective: the saddle of a bicycle.
Adriaan Geuze (landscape architect and founder of West 8 Architects), Wim Pijbes (art historian and emeritus General Director of the Rijksmuseum), Timo de Rijk (director of the Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch), Steven Fleming (creator of the books CycleSpace and Velotopia), Nancy Arkema (advisor and spatial designer) and Gerrie Andela (architectural historian) share their ranging perspective and knowledge on the theme Dutch landscape. The book is being produced in collaboration with design studio 75B and Vereniging Deltametropool and is published by nai010 publishers. Also see: bicycle-landscape.com
